You need a smart APAP (Auto CPAP) machine that can understand Every breath comes out of you, You DON'T need a simple CPAP machine which just give you an air pressure. Below we list the most important technology to be considered when buying CPAP machine:
1) Clinically proven algorithm
Is your new machine has a proven alogarithm?
The AutoSet algorithm used in the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet is one of the most clinically published in the field of sleep-disordered breathing. It works to automatically adjust to each patient's therapy pressure as their needs change – hourly, nightly and from season to season – to deliver the patient's ideal, lowest therapy pressure.
2) Advanced event detection
- Is there an advanced event detection technology?
- Is there an Central Sleep Apnea (CSA) detection technology?
- Is there Cheyne Stokes Respiratory (CSR) event technology?
Yes in the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Advanced event detection identifies central sleep apnea, respiratory effort related arousal and Cheyne-Stokes respiration events to provide treating physicians valuable insight into the continued health of your patients.
3) Sleep onset detection
Is there technology to help the patient to sleep before giving the targeted air pressure?
AutoRamp™ in the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet with sleep onset detection delivers a low pressure to help patients fall asleep with ease. Once the patient is asleep, it comfortably ramps up the pressure to the prescribed level.
4) The quiet Easy-Breathe motor
Dose your CPAP Machine have Quiet motor and easy breath motor?
The quiet Easy-Breathe motor makes for a peaceful environment for the patient and their bed partner. in the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet has very advanced and
5) Expiratory pressure relief
5) Expiratory pressure relief
Dose your CPAP Machine have technology which reduce pressure during exhalation which lead to comfortable sleep?
in in the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet there is a very smart feature called Expiratory pressure relief (EPR™) maintains the optimal treatment for the patient during inhalation and reduces pressure during exhalation
6) Smart Start
Is there a smart and easy start technology in your system?
In the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet patent technology called SmartStart™ allows the patient to start therapy by breathing in, instead of pressing the ‘Start’ button.
7) Smooth Pressure Increase
Does your CPAP Machine have technology which smooth pressure increase?
In the ResMed AirSense 10 (AutoSet) technology Response comfort setting offers gentler pressure increases and a smoother night’s sleep to help patients with high-pressure intolerance. After you fall asleep and your pressure needs begin to vary, your AutoSet device responds to three separate parameters, based on the degree of airway blockage caused by your sleep apnea: inspiratory flow limitation, snore, and apnea. AutoSet devices automatically increase pressure as airway blockage starts to occur in order to minimize the chances of it developing into apneas
8) Compensation Technology
Is there a Compensation Technology & Leak management feature implemented in your CPAP Machine?
if any air leakage happened from mask while sleeping , ResMed machine calculate the amount of leaked air and automatically increase the pressure to compensate the leaked air.
Vsync is a leak management algorithm and the product of ResMed’s extensive experience in noninvasive ventilation (NIV). Vsync monitors and compensates for unintentional mask leak, so that patients receive their prescribed therapy pressure. Working in sync with TiControl, Vsync ensures reliable breath detection (patient–device synchronization) even in conditions of high leak.
9) Smart Ambient Light Sensor
Dose your CPAP Machine have smart ambient light sensor?
Built-in ambient light sensor in the ResMed AirSense 10 adjusts brightness of the screen based on the light in the room and turns off automatically.
10) Smart Built-in Heated Humidifier
Dose your CPAP Machine have intelligence built-in humidifier?
a smart humidifier moistens the air and is designed to make therapy more comfortable In the ResMed AirSense 10 The H5i™ humidifier has added intelligence to help deliver constant humidity to minimize rainout during standard humidification. H5i humidification delivery is controlled by three inputs (ambient humidity, H5i settings, and device flow) and adjusts the output to maintain consistent water delivery. In general, you should start at a humidity level setting of 3 and adjust up or down by 0.5 to address any drying or rainout issues. When using ClimateLine™ heated tubing, we recommend using Auto mode, which defaults to a Climate Control setting of 80° F. From there, you can adjust up and down as necessary. If using ClimateLine heated tubing in Manual mode, start with a humidity level setting of 3 and a heated tube setting of 80°. Adjust the humidity level up and down by 0.5 to address any drying or rainout issues, and adjust the heated tube level up and down in one-degree increments to find the most comfortable temperature setting.
11) Support Heated Tube Option
Dose your CPAP Machine support heated TUBE (Special Tube) to help you to breathe warmed air during your CPAP therapy?
we are talking here about Heated TUBE not heated humidifier, make sure this option can be added to your system as most of CPAP machine available in the market are not supporting the heated tube. heated tube is special tube not regular CPAP tube. Breathe warmed air during your CPAP therapy with a ClimateLineAir heated tube. It is designed to maintain the temperature of the humidified air as it passes through the tube. For patients who want greater control over their humidification settings, the Climate Control Manual option lets them adjust the temperature and humidity to the setting that is most comfortable for them. In Climate Control Manual, the tube temperature and humidity level can be set independently. Climate Control is available in all AirSense 10. The temperature sensor located at the mask end of the ClimateLineAir heated air tube enables the system to automatically control the temperature of the air delivered to the patient. This ensures the temperature of the air delivered to the patient does not fall below the set minimum temperature, therefore maximizing breathing comfort.
12) Compact Design
Dose your CPAP Machine have compact smooth design?
compact and smooth design is very important for the patient to handle and deal with the machine at home, airplane, etc . ResMed understand this very well, ResMed AirSense 10 has very compact, smart and smooth design also that's include the (humidifier) as well, On the contrary there are many devices available in the market available in the market has a bulky shape and big height include the (humidifier) always check the size and height of your CPAP machine including the (Humidifier)
